Also, at the end of each shipping season, I always have misshapen “ugly ducklings” that I save for my own planting. Many dahlia lovers know the secret that tubers that are small or have been chopped in half will grow into gorgeous plants if they are otherwise healthy and have a viable eye or sprout.
